Ragi (Nachani) semolina ladu
Ragi (Nachani) semolina ladu:
- Ragi is the best food option in a summer.
- Ingredients: 2 cups Ragi flour,
- 1 cup semolina,
- 2 and/4 cup sugar,
- 1 cup water,
- cardamom powder,
- pure ghee 1/2 cup,
- pieces of cashew nuts and almonds,
- salt a small pinch.
- Procedure:
- Add semolina in a large pan.
- Roast for five minutes on medium flame.
- Keep aside.
- Add ghee and ragi flour in a pan.
- Roast ragi flour for five minutes on medium flame.
- Add roasted semolina in a pan and roast the mixture on law flame for ten minutes.
- Remove flame.
- In a deep pan add sugar and water and keep stirring on medium flame.
- Boil the syrup till one thread consistency.
- Add pinch of salt and cardamom powder.
- Add pieces of cashew nuts and almonds.
- Then mix roasted ragi flour and semolina in the syrup.
- Mix well.
- Keep aside for an hour.
- Keep stirring occasionally.
- When mixture becomes ready to make round balls, make round balls(ladu) applying ghee on hand palm.
- I made 30 ladus from the mixture.
