Homemade Tutti Frutti

Tutti frutti is mainlused in cakes and biscuits. Tutti frutti is made with raw papaya. This is my innovation. I made tutti frutti from white part of  the water melon.





  • Ingredients:
  • Small cubes of water melon's white part 2 cups
  • Sugar  2 cups
  • Water 1 cup
  • Vanilla essence 4/5 drops
  •  Food colour yellow, green,red

  • Procedure:
  •  Wash and cut water melon.
  • Cut red part and keep aside. 
  • You may eat red part or make juice from it.
  • Peel outer green cover and make small cubes from white part.
  • Take deep sauce pan.
  • Add 4 cups of water in a pan.
  • When water starts boiling add cubes of white part of water melon.
  • Boil for ten minutes.
  • Remove cubes on the strainer and drain all water.
  • Take 2 cups sugar and one cup water in a deep pan.
  • Boil till the syrup becomes one thread consistency.
  • Add cubes in a syrup and boil. 
  • Boil again till the syrup becomes one thread consistency.
  • Add vanilla essence and keep aside for ten minutes.
  • Remove the mixture in three bowls.
  • Add two drops of  green, red and yellow colour  in each bowl and mix well.
  • Allow to soak for 10 hours.
  • All cubes will absorb the colour.
  • Drain off sugar syrup from each bowl with the help of strainer.
  • Allow them to dry on a flat strainer separately.
  • Tutti frutti becomes non sticky.
  • Refrigerate in a dry jar. 
  • Enjoy cooking!!!
