Shrikhand

Shrikhand:
  • Shrikhand is a traditional Indian sweet dish. Shrikhand  is a favorite sweet dish made for many festivals in Maharashtra.



  • Ingredients:

  • 1 liter curd/yogurt
  • 2 cup sugar,
  •  A pinch of saffron
  • Almond pieces for garnishing, 
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Nutmeg powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Procedure:
  • Hang curd for 8 hours in a muslin cloth
  • .Keep till all the water content drips out.
  • Take chakka in a bowl.
  • Add sugar and salt to taste.
  • .Add cardamom powder, nutmeg powder.
  • Mix well.
  • Churn through puran jali or machine. 
  • Add crushed saffron to warm milk for 5 minutes.
  • Add saffron milk and stir well.
  • .Garnish with some almond pics.
  • Serve chilled shrikhand with puri.
