Shrikhand
Shrikhand:
- Shrikhand is a traditional Indian sweet dish. Shrikhand is a favorite sweet dish made for many festivals in Maharashtra.
- Ingredients:
- 1 liter curd/yogurt
- 2 cup sugar,
- A pinch of saffron
- Almond pieces for garnishing,
- Cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Nutmeg powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Procedure:
- Hang curd for 8 hours in a muslin cloth
- .Keep till all the water content drips out.
- Take chakka in a bowl.
- Add sugar and salt to taste.
- .Add cardamom powder, nutmeg powder.
- Mix well.
- Churn through puran jali or machine.
- Add crushed saffron to warm milk for 5 minutes.
- Add saffron milk and stir well.
- .Garnish with some almond pics.
- Serve chilled shrikhand with puri.
