Gulgule (Sweet fritters)






  •  Gulgule:  Gulgule is a traditional recipe of India which is made with an ingredients easily available at our home.

Ingredients:
  • Water 1/2 cup,
  • jaggery 1/2 cup,
  • wheat flour 1 cup,
  • Semolina 2 teaspoons,
  • Dry ginger powder 1 teaspoon,
  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon,
  • Grated coconut 1/4 cup,
  • Nutmeg powder 1/4 teaspoon,
  • Cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon,
  • Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon,
  •  Refined oil or pure ghee for frying.
  • Procedure
  • Add 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup finely chopped jaggery in a large bowl.
  • Add dry ginger powder, salt and grated coconut and mix well.
                 

  • Add wheat flour and semolina.
  • Keep aside the mixture for four hours.
  • After four hours add nutmeg powder, cardamom powder, baking soda.
  • mix well.
  •  Keep frying pan on medium flame.
  • Add ghee or refined oil.
  • Pour 10 gulgule in a hot oil or ghee.
             
  • Deep fry on medium flame on golden brown colour.
  • Sweet gulgule are ready to serve.
