Raw mango and green chili spicy chatni/ thecha


  • Ingredients:
  • 1 cup grated raw mango
  • 250 grams green chilies
  • 50 grams mustard seeds
  • Refined oil 2 table spoons
  • Fenugreek seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Salt 1 tablespoon
  •  For tempering: turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  • Hing ( asafoetida) 1teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  • Procedure:
  • Remove the stalk of chilies.
  • Wash all green chilies and wipe them with cotton towel.
  • Cut green chilies into small pieces. 
  • Crush roughly in a mixer jar and keep aside.
  • Wash and wipe raw mangoes with cotton towel.
  • Remove seed ,peel and grate the mango.
  • Heat oil in a small pan for tempering.
  • Stir fry fenugreek seeds little brown and keep aside.
  • Add mustard seeds. As soon as mustard seeds crackle remove flame.
  • Add hing and turmeric powder. Let it cool down.
  • Grind  fenugreek  seeds and mustard seeds.
  • In a big bowl  add crushed green chilies, grated raw mango, ground mustard and fenugreek seeds and salt. 
  • Pour tempering  and mix well.
  • Enjoy spicy Pickle!!!!
