Pineapple Preserve(muramba)
Pineapple Preserve is most popular and tasty Maharashtrian recipe.
- 1 just ripe pineapple,
- Sugar
- 5 cloves
- cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
- Procedure:
- Wash the pineapple.
- Remove outer skin and white thick stalk.
- Chop remaining edible part into small pieces.
- I got 2 cups pieces of pineapple.
- Keep pineapple pieces in a cooker pot and cook for ten minutes.
- Wait until pressure settles down.
- In a big pan add 2 cups sugar, one cup water,cloves.
- Keep on medium flame.
- when all sugar melts add pineapple pieces.
- Boil the mixture until one thread consistency.
- Cook until mixture becomes just like honey.
- Add cardamom powder, mix well.
- Let it cool for an hour.
- Store the pineapple preserve in a dry glass jar.
