Mint Lemon Shikanji



  • Ingredients:




  •  1 tablespoon lemon juice, 
  • 1 table spoon mint leaves,
  •  3 teaspoons sugar,
  •  a pinch of salt,
  •  sweet basil seeds 1 teaspoon,
  •  water 250 ml, 
  • ice cubes, 
  • shikanji spice powder


  • For shikanji spice powder:
  •  4 teaspoons cuminseeds,
  •  1 teaspoon black pepper,
  •  2 teaspoons black salt 
  •  1/2 teaspoon sea salt. 
  • Roast cumin seeds slightly.
  •  Add cumin seeds, black pepper, black salt and sea salt in a mixer jar. 
  • Make fine paste
  • . Store in a dry jar. 
  • Use in any  type of juices, salads!

    • Procedure:
    •  Add 1/4 cup water in sweet basil seeds and soak for ten minutes.
    •  Add mint leaves, lemon juice, sugar, salt and water. 
    • Blend in a blender jar, keep aside. 
    • Take the serving glass. 
    • Add soaked basil seeds first, then lemon mint juice. Add ice cubes and then a pinch of shikanji  spice powder. 
    • Serve chilled shikanji!
