Ridge Gourd Chutney


  • Ingredients:
  • 1 cup peeled skin of ridge gourd
  • 1/2 cup grated fresh coconut
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 green chilies
  • 3 Garlic cloves (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds powder
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • Water
  • Procedure: 
  • Wash ridge gourd and peel the skin.
  • Cut peeled skin into small pieces.
  •  I used Ridge gourd to make vegetable.
  • Heat oil in the pan.
  • Add skin pieces and stir well on medium flame for five minutes.
  • Keep aside.
  • Wash and cut green chilies.
  • Add all ingredients in ridge gourd skin.
  • Blend in a mixer  and make smooth paste.
  • Add water while blending as required.
  • Adjust as per your taste.
  • Serve chutney with bread, chapati or rice.
  • Enjoy cooking!!!
