Jack fruit Preserve ( Mur Fanas)

  • 1 cup ripe Jack fruit,


  •  3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 5 cloves 
  • cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  • Procedure:
  • Cut the jack fruit.
  • Remove outer skin and white thick stalk.
  • Remove seeds and clean.
  • Make pieces as per choice.
  • I got 1 cup pieces of  Jack fruit.
  • Keep jack fruit pieces in a cooker pot and cook for ten minutes.
  • Wait until pressure settles down.
  • In a big pan add 3/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water,cloves.
  • Keep on medium flame.
  • when all sugar melts add jack fruit pieces.
  • Boil the mixture until one thread consistency.
  • Cook until mixture becomes just like honey.
  • Add cardamom powder, mix well.
  • Let it cool for an hour.
  • Store the jack fruit preserve in a dry glass jar.
